The Gates of Hell (as it is known in the U.S) was released in 1981. The late, great Lucio Fulci made this movie, and it is the first in his famous trilogy that also contained House by the Cemetery and the masterpiece The Beyond. It is a truly hallucinogenic movie, featuring crazy set pieces and disturbing gore.
In other words, it's just another day at the office for Mr. Lucio Fulci.
