The Grinder is a game for the wii (the game is now multiplatform. 360, PS3, and PC as well) made by high voltage software(Also known for making The Conduit, Hunter the reckoning, and the newly announced Gladiator A.D.) This game is made using it's built from the ground up (and still being improved as we speak) Quantum3 engine designed to give the best graphics on wii to a level of 360 graphics(in my opinion)
The Grinder is an FPS Horror game based on Left for Dead. You play as either, miko, hector, AJ, or Doc. As these characters you fight hords of monsters including feral Vampires, Warewolves, and a man called the slasher. And each monster has different classes that are more difficult and and more intellegent. This takes place in a world where everybody believes monsters are real and these people are hunters trying to take them out. In the world you will find innocents that you can either let die, or save for bonuses. Each player has thier own background and thier own reason for wanting to take out these monsters and this gives everything a unique entertaining storyline. Also each will have their own weapon and character upgrades with light RPG elements
In the single player you play as one of these characters and computer AI controls the other, in offline multiplayer two people can pick up a controller and play with two computer controlled AI characters, and finally the game will support full 4 player online co op with wiispeak. Players playing have the option of jumping in and out of gameplay whenever they want without ruining the flow of the game. Of course the game will use friend codes but Im sure by then you will have lots of friends with the conduit.
The game will allow you to fight hordes over 100 plus monsters and as the engine becomes more developed that number along with quality of the graphics will only increase.
The game will support motion plus and thats great since miko has Japanese swords. The game will also have dual wielding.
The bad thing is the game is set to release holiday 2010 =(
